Kirk, Jesse J. 

Jesse J. Kirk, 76, of Longview, went to be with his Lord Jesus Christ on May 29, 
2006, in Longview. Private family graveside services for Jesse will be 11 a.m. 
Thursday, June 1, 2006, at Lakeview Memorial Gardens. Memorial services will 
follow at 1 p.m. at Good News Revival Center, with the Reverend Kenneth Charles 
officiating. Born July 15, 1929, in Upshur County, he served in the U.S. Marine 
Corps for four years during the Korean War. He attended Kilgore College and 
Western Michigan State University. Mr. Kirk married Ruth Powell September 24, 
1955, in Angola, Ind. His greatest pleasure was his family and yard work. A 
loving husband and father, he leaves to mourn his wife, Ruth Kirk of Longview; 
sons, Joey and Charlotte Kirk of Longview, Tim and Patsy Kirk of Ore City, and 
David Kirk of Longview; daughter, Anna and Josh Posey of Dallas; eight 
grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brother, Morris and Marie Kirk of 
Crockett; sister, Betty and Lewis Warlick of Kilgore; and many in-laws, nieces, 
and nephews. He will be greatly missed by all of us!
