Lasiter, Alliene October 29, 1916 -- July 16, 2006 -- Alliene Sarah Mosley Lasiter, 89, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, died peacefully Sunday, July 16, 2006, at a Pflugerville care center in Pflugerville, Texas. Alliene was born October 29, 1916, in Waco, Texas, to John Milton Mosley and Eliza Margaret Harbour Mosley. She married Herman G. Lasiter on December 12, 1932, in Palestine, Texas. They began their life together in Elkhart, Texas, moving later to Longview, where she lived approximately 51 years. She was a faithful and active member of the Mobberly Avenue Baptist Church where she served in numerous organizations such as the WMU, hospitality, and as a Bible teacher. She was also a homemaker and a bookkeeper for the International Exterminator Corp. After the death of her dear husband in 1990, Alliene moved to Clovis, New Mexico, and then to Muleshoe, Texas, where she became a member of the First Baptist Church of Muleshoe. Alliene was preceded in death by her husband, H.G. Lasiter; two bothers, Luther and Bill Mosley; one great-granddaughter, Amy; one son-in-law, Charles Lewis; and a daughter-in-law, Barbara Lasiter. She is survived by her sisters, Ouida Bates and Odessa Gruetzner of Waco, Texas; her three sons, Darwin Lasiter of Middleburg, Florida, G.R. Lasiter of Muleshoe, Texas, and Donnie Lasiter and wife, Nancy, of Madisonville, Texas; two daughters, Carolyn King and her husband, Rex, of Pflugerville, Texas, and Joan Lewis of Georgetown, Texas; and niece, Julie Richards and husband, Danny, of Hallsville, Texas. Her adoring grandchildren, Darlene, Mark, John, Dan, David, Lana, Lisa, Steve, Melanie, Cheryl Ann, Karen, Chris, Corey, Jeff, Lashelle, and Lamont, will always remember her loving care and the wonderful times at Lake Cherokee. There are also 22 great-grandchildren, two great- great-grandchildren; and numerous other nieces and nephews. All of her family will continue to gain from her strong Christian influence and deep faith in God. Funeral services will be noon Wednesday, July 19, 2006, at Lakeview Funeral Home, 5000 West Harrison Road in Longview, Texas, 75604. In lieu of flowers, the family would like memorial contributions made to the Van Fund at Muleshoe Area Healthcare Center-Parkview, 1100 W. Ave. J, Muleshoe, TX 79347; or to your favorite charity. The family will receive visitors from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday evening, July 18, 2006, at the Lakeview Funeral Home in Longview, Texas.
