LeFan, Murel Clymore Graveside services for Murel Clymore LeFan, 92, of Longview, will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 18, 2006, at Nowata Memorial Cemetery in Nowata, Okla. Arrangements are under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview and Rice Funeral Home of Claremore, Okla. Mrs. LeFan died October 15, 2006, in Longview, following a lengthy illness. Born August 19, 1914, in Cass, Ark., to Patrick Joseph and Lottie May Goznell Griffin, she attended schools in Winganon, Okla. In 1935, Murel married Ellis Redmon Clymore and settled in Ponca City, Okla., where they raised three children, Leon, Carol and Garland. At the death of Mr. Clymore in 1969, Murel moved to Claremore, Okla. to be near her family. She was an active member of the Claremore Church of Christ, where she met and married L.C. LeFan in 1976. Mr. LeFan preceded her in death in 1993. With the onset of Alzheimer's, Mrs. LeFan moved to Longview, Texas, in 1996. She is survived by a brother, John Griffin of Tulsa, Okla.; son, Leon Clymore and his wife, Luella, of Atlanta, Ga.; daughter, Carol Park and her husband, Jack, of Longview; son, Garland Clymore and his wife, Paula, of Albuquerque, N.M.; five grandchildren, Shara Kipp of Longview, Brenda Alexander of Longview, Trisha Clymore of Decatur, Ga., Lewis Clymore of Snellville, Ga., and Mark Clymore of Loganville, Ga.; 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Murel was a homemaker and seamstress. Everything she did was done with laughter. She loved her family, church, gardening and cooking. The family wishes to thank the staff of Summer Meadows for their kindness and support during Mrs. LeFan's long illness.
