Leath, David Alan David Alan Leath went to be with the Lord on August 18, 2006, at his residence in Dallas. He was born June 9, 1959, in Longview. He attended Pine Tree schools and Kilgore College. He enjoyed Little League baseball and the Boy Scout program. He was an avid fisherman and loved camping and the outdoors. He worked in computer graphics in the Dallas area for many years. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Gus and Maud Young of Winnsboro; and his parental grandparents, Oscar and Clella Leath of Longview. David is survived by his parents, Oscar and Madelyn Leath of Longview; his sister, Karen Leath Sewell of Dallas; daughter, Chelsea Leath of Houma, La.; nephew, Samuel Sewell of Dallas; uncles and aunts, Robert and Mary Jo Leath of Longview, Evelyn and Johnnie Henderson of Forney, and Joe and Patty Young of Mount Vernon; and many cousins. Visitation will be 4-6 p.m. today, August 20, 2006, at Rader Funeral Home in Longview. A private graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, August 21, 2006, at Elderville Cemetery, led by Dr. Rick Webb, Chaplain at Buckner Westminster and a family friend. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to The American Heart Association or to Elderville Cemetery Fund, 8531 FM 2011, Longview, TX 75603.
