Funeral services for Mary Jo Loper, 80, of Longview, will be at 10 a.m., 
Thursday, March 15, 2007, in the Welch Funeral Home Chapel, 4619 Judson 
Road, with Dr. Laney Johnson and the Rev. Scott Schulik officiating. 
Burial will follow in Simsboro Cemetery of Simsboro, Louisiana.

Mrs. Loper died Monday, March 12, 2007, at her residence.

Mrs. Loper was born August 18, 1926, in Hico, Louisiana, to Joe Marshall 
and Dosey Lewis Doss. She was a member of Mobberly Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, J.R. Loper, in 1988; 
and her daughter, Sandra Lynn Loper.

Surviving Mrs. Loper are her son, Ralph Steven Loper of Longview; daughter 
and son-in-law, Cheryl Ann Loper and John Harland Clark of Longview; 
granddaughter, Robin Renée Clark; grandsons and spouse, Nathan Edward and 
Hillary Clark, and Aaron Daniel Clark; sisters, Emma Maude King and Larynell 
Dean, both of Arcadia, Louisiana, Leone Swilley of Waskom and Vivian Wise 
of Arcadia, Louisiana; and many nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.

The family will receive friends at 5 p.m. this evening, March 14, 2007, at 
the funeral home.
