Laminack, Noble DALLAS - Noble Laminack passed away at 11:55 p.m. Monday, August 20, 2007, in Longview. Noble was born September 30, 1918, in Quitman. He graduated from Proctor High School in Proctor. Mr. Laminack served his country honorably as a technical sergeant in the U.S. Army during World War II. Noble received the Asiatic, Pacific Theater Ribbon with two Bronze Stars, the American Defense Service Medal and a Good Conduct Ribbon. Noble shared a passion for fishing and gardening with Rachel and visits with family members at their Lake Palestine cabin. He loved tinkering with tools and making things work. He will be greatly missed, especially by his stepdaughter, Nita and husband, Richard Winchester, with whom they shared a home in Longview. Like his name Noble implies, he was indeed a noble person, compassionate, of high intelligence and dearly loved his family. Previously married to Ann Laminack, formerly of Yuma, Ariz., now deceased, they had no children. His parents, Aaron Burgess and Oma Laminack; and sisters, Opal and Hazel, preceded him in death. His beloved wife, Rachel Saldań a Laminack survives him, as does his sister, Survilla Graham of Covina, Calif. Other survivors are his loving niece, Carol Dinuto; nephew, Joe Carter; niece, Ann Carter of California; great-niece, Tina Massey of Garland; and longtime best friend, Dave George of Colorado, with whom he served in the U.S. military. They continued a lasting friendship until Noble's death. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, August 24, 2007, at DFW National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy., Dallas, TX 75211. Officiating the service will be the Rev. Rudy DeLeon. Arrangements are by Jeter & Son Funeral Home, 4830 W. Illinois Ave., Dallas, TX 75211; (214) 330-4700. The Winchester and Graham families gratefully acknowledge the wonderful staff of Good Shepherd Medical Center and Heart'sWay Hospice, Longview, TX for their loving care of our Noble.
