Marchand, Bonnie Faye Sparks 


Funeral services for Bonnie Faye Sparks Marchand, 87, of Longview, will be 10 a.m. 
Tuesday, June 13, 2006, at the Welch Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dick Lindsey 
officiating. Burial will be in Judson Cemetery. Mrs. Marchand went home to the Lord 
Saturday evening, June 10, 2006, at a local hospital. She was born September 13, 1918, 
to Robert Gus and Rosa Lee Sparks in Upshur County. Mrs. Marchand was a loving wife, 
mother and grandmother. She was a member of the Wesley-McCabe United Methodist Church 
and was a lifetime resident of the Longview area. Mrs. Marchand was preceded in death 
by her husband, Robert J. "Bob" Marchand in 2000; her brothers, Doyle Sparks and Floyd 
"Buddy" Sparks; sisters, Blanche Vollars and Gussie Lee Fisher; and brothers-in-law and 
sisters-in-law, William "Bill" and "Mike" Marchand, and Stan and Mabel Marchand. Mrs. 
Marchand is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, James Weldon Marchand, Buddy and 
Beverly Marchand, and Greg Marchand, all of Longview, and Robert and Kim Marchand of 
Dallas; sister and brother-in-law, Evelyn Dupree and James Spencer of Houston; nine 
grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She is also 
survived by sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Alice and George Monteiro, Ardelle and 
Bill Nelson of Seattle, Wash., and Ginny and Ed Armstrong of Tacoma, Wash. The family 
will receive friends from 6-7 p.m. Monday, June 12, 2006, at Welch Funeral Home.
