Mayfield, Faransa 

Services for Faransa Mayfield, 87, of Longview, will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, 
August 22, 2006, at Growing Valley Baptist Church, with the Rev. C.E. 
Faulks and Charles Lawrence officiating. Burial will be in Grace Hill 
Cemetery. Arrangements are by Bigham Mortuary. Mr. Mayfield died August 
16, 2006, in Longview. Born February 14, 1919, in Harrison County, he 
served in the U.S. Army and was a trustee of Growing Valley Baptist 
Church. Survivors include his son, Thurman Mayfield Sr.; and daughter, 
Rosie L. Mayfield. Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. today, August 21, 2006, 
at the funeral home.
