McAfee, Kathryn Mrs. Ruby Kathryn McAfee, 90, passed away Saturday, August 12, 2006, in hospice care after a two-week battle with a severe stroke. Mrs. McAfee was born October 27, 1915, in Longview, to Tom and Pugh Meadows. She was a graduate of Longview High School. She was a lifelong devout Christian lady, a devoted wife and giving mother and grandmother. She was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church Judson. Mrs. McAfee enjoyed gardening and sewing. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Van Visage McAfee; a son, Thomas McAfee; and brother, Eugene Meadows. She is survived by her son, Robert R. McAfee and wife, Jan, of Kilgore; her daughter, Diane Hollis and husband, James, of Longview; her daughter-in-law, Pat McAfee of Longview; sister, Grace Sauer and husband, Everett, of Colorado; and sister-in-law, Mary Virginia Heim, of Longview. She is also survived by her grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, August 15, 2006, at the First Baptist Church Judson, with the Rev. Albert Murdock officiating. Burial will follow at Judson Cemetery.
