Minnix, Frankie Vivian Frankie Vivian Minnix, 97, of Longview, died Sunday, April 02, 2006, and passed on to her eternal reward promised to those who serve the Lord, leaving a loving family and many friends to mourn her loss. Services will be 4 p.m. Tuesday, April 4, 2006, at the chapel of Rader Funeral Home with Robert Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Lakeview Memorial Gardens in Longview. The family will receive friends from 3-4 p.m. before the service on Tuesday. Services are under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Frankie was born August 3, 1908, in Lamesa, Texas, one of two daughters to Charles Terrell and Eula Mae Trammell. She attended and finished high school in May 1926. On August 31, 1926, she was married to the love of her life, Van William Minnix. They had been married 54 years when he preceded her in death on September 9, 1980. To this marriage was born Jackie Terrell Minnix, deceased, and Billy Van Minnix. Ms. Minnix had been a resident of Longview since 1936. She worked for F.W. Woolworth as a personnel supervisor and previously owned and operated the Village Floral Shoppe for a number of years. She was a charter member of the ABWA Golden Light Chapter of Longview, vice president of the City Commission on Aging and a long-time member of AARP, serving as president from 1983-1984 and as a board member since. Ms. Minnix was a 79-year member of the Church of Christ, worshiping at the Longview Church of Christ. She is survived by her son, Billy Van Minnix and wife, Pat; grandchildren, Tamara English and husband, Chris, Cindy Clay and husband, Bobby, and Bill Minnix and wife, Amy; great-grandchildren Chad, Cory and Tyler English, Jodi, Emily and Ethan Clay, and Mallory and Makenzie Minnix; great-great-grandchild Colin Wages; sister, Mary Page; and two nieces, Jean Cox and Pat Walker.
