Molpus, Judith Ann "Judy" May the Lord bless you and keep you. May the Lord let His face shine on you and be gracious to you. May the Lord uncover His face to you and bring you peace. - Num. 6:22 Judith "Judy" Ann Molpus passed from this life to the next on Sunday, January 29, 2006. Judy was born July 27, 1944, at Wright-Patterson Airfield, Dayton, Ohio, to Capt. John Austin Biggs III and Lavonne Penhale Biggs. Judy lived in numerous places in the United States throughout her life, but she had called Longview her home for more than 20 years. Judy is survived by her beloved husband, Richard Alan Molpus, to whom she was married on October 24, 1986; her children: Kenneth Allen Hampton and Kevin Scott Hampton, Ryan Alan Molpus, his fiancee, Geyza Corral, daughter and son-in-law, Emily Ann and Jimmy Dorsey; her grandchildren, Trace and Brook Dorsey; and numerous cousins and extended family, including, Merry Ellen Daniel and son, Doug, and her twin sister, Janet in Mount Pleasant, whom she loved her whole life. Special mention is made of lifelong friends, Larry and Elsie Wendland, David and Helen Lovett, and Don Gual, who had been a brother to Judy and Richard. Prior to her extended illness, Judy's career was with Austin Bank, and during her illness, her colleagues at Austin Bank provided her with their support and friendship for which Judy was grateful. She leaves behind these very special friends. Judy's life was well-lived. She was especially fond of antiques, flowers, plants, her beautiful garden, animals, and her cats who were like children to her, and with all of those, Judy created a warm and lovely home for her husband and family. She showed her love for her God, family, and friends by her actions and words. She adored and was devoted to her husband, Richard. She saw beauty in all things, people and places, and she created beauty in all that she did and touched. She stated recently that all of the people she knew were beautiful. She had a great sense of humor, and she was a kind and positive influence on all of the lives she touched. She never knew a stranger, and all of those she met instinctively knew she was a friend. She was more concerned about Richard, her family, and friends than for herself. Judy was a trooper. She faced two battles with cancer, showing courage, dignity, humility, and grace. In doing so, she vanquished her foe, and her life is an example to and benediction upon many lives, all of whom are blessed and privileged for knowing and loving her. Richard joins with Judy in extending grateful appreciation and thanks to Dr. Larry Frase and Wanda at the Cancer Center, Greater Hospice of Longview, Daisie Cox and husband, Carl, of Serenity Place in Big Sandy for her wonderful hospice care, and in Judy's words, the angels who provided her care at Good Shepherd Medical Center in Longview. Funeral services will be held in the Welch Funeral Home Chapel, 4619 Judson Road, 1 p.m. Thursday, February 2, 2006, with Dr. Gary Orr officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Park Cemetery.
