Mihalick, Rose Marie O'Donnell Rose Marie O'Donnell Mihalick, 91 years young, loving mother, grandma, "Gigi," and devoted friend to many, passed away from us on January 10, 2007. Rose was born January 7, 1916, in Houston, Texas, to Anthony and Rose O'Donnell, and was forever proud of her Irish family roots. Rose grew up in Crowley, Louisiana, where her father owned the Standard Rice Mill, and attended Louisiana State University, where she met and married LSU football star, John D. She spent her adult life raising her loving family, and was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church and Holly Trail Garden Club. She was also a Tea Room Patron of the Junior League of Houston. In 2001, she was widowed and moved to Longview, and resided at Buckner Westminster Place, where she loved her many friends. Rose is survived by her son, John of Pensacola, Florida; daughter, Pat and her husband, Buddy Williams of Lake Cherokee; granddaughters, Kimberly and her husband, David Bernstein of Pensacola, Florida, Sheila Mihalick of Charlestown, Massachusetts, and Shaun and her husband, Neal Harpstrite of The Woodlands, Texas; and great-grandchildren, Cole and Paula Bernstein, and Aidan and Brody Harpstrite.
