Mullen, Goldie Frances Funeral services for Goldie Frances Mullen, 90, of Longview, will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, November 22, 2006, in the Welch Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Jacob Wommer officiating. Burial will follow in Lakeview Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Mullen passed away on Monday, November 20, 2006, at a local nursing home. Mrs. Mullen was born June 9, 1916, in Dekoven, Kentucky, to John P. and Mary Newcome Cusic. She was a longtime resident of Longview and a member of Lighthouse Church in Liberty City. Preceding her in death were her husband, Monroe; daughter, Betty Mayes; son, Gary Welch; and sisters, Inez Cummings and Ruby Payne. Surviving Mrs. Mullen are her daughter, Norma Jean Cobb of Kentucky; son, Ordra Madden of Evansville, Indiana; son, Jim Welch of Owensville, Indiana; son, Jerry Welch of Longview; daughter, Candy Davis of Longview; 26 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
