McDaniel, Terrence Etherel

A memorial service for Terrence "Ted" McDaniel, 80, of Longview, will 
be at 1 p.m. Friday, June 1, 2007, at First Methodist Church in 
Hallsville, with Chaplain David Reeder officiating. Arrangements are 
by East Texas Funeral Home of Longview.

Mr. McDaniel was born May 8, 1927, in Hemphill, to Leland Tim McDaniel 
and Ara Anna McLemore McDaniel. He passed away May 29, 2007, at his 
residence.

Mr. McDaniel was a life resident and was a longtime resident of the 
Gum Springs Community. Mr. McDaniel was co-owner of Longview Creosote 
Plant and was retired from Russell Construction. He was an avid hunter 
and loved fishing. Mr. McDaniel served in the U.S. Army.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara McDaniel of Longview; children, 
Eddie Moore of Houston, Bennie Killingsworth and wife, Janice of 
Longview, Dixie Lee and husband, Michael Grant of Longview, Cindy 
Dawson and husband, Fred of Longview, Beth Hogan of Homer, La., Cathy 
Rogers of Hallsville, Susan Shields and husband, Darrell of Hallsville 
and Terrence L. McDaniel of Boone, N.C.; 10 grandchildren; and nine 
great-grandchildren. Also included are his brothers, Reggie McDaniel 
and wife, June, Tommy McDaniel and wife, Nina and Billy McDaniel and 
wife, Thatcherette; and numerous nieces and nephews.
