McGinty, Juanita Jones

HOUSTON - A requiem Eucharist for Juanita Jones McGinty, 73, of Carancahua Bay, near Palacios, 
will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, September 1, 2007, at Trinity Episcopal Church at Main and 
Holman in Houston, with the Rev. Ed Stein officiating. Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery. 
Arrangements are by Geo. H. Lewis & Sons Funeral Home in Houston. Mrs. McGinty died August 27, 
2007, at her residence.

Born August 17, 1934, in Greggton, she was a graduate of Longview High School and Rice 
University and first lady of The American Institute of Architects. Survivors include her 
husband, John M. "Jack" McGinty, FAIA; children, Christopher Harold McGinty and Jacqueline 
McGinty Carlson; and sisters, Mary Winifred Bellido and Harriette Farley. Visitation will be 
from 5-7 p.m. Saturday, following the services, at the residence of Elisabeth Laigle, Jack's 
sister, at 5414 John Dreaper in Houston.
