Morse, Malcolm S. "Hop" Malcolm S. 'Hop' Morse KILGORE - Services for Malcolm S. Morse, 77, of Carthage, formerly of Kilgore, will be 10 a.m. Monday, March 19, 2007, at the chapel of Rader Funeral Home in Kilgore with Pastor Betty Wills officiating. Interment will follow at Kilgore Memorial Garden. Mr. Morse died Saturday, March 17, 2007, in Carthage. Malcolm was born August 20, 1929, in Marshall, Texas, to Malcolm and Opal Morse, deceased. He was a graduate of Marshall High School. Malcolm served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. After 30 years of service, he retired as a frac supervisor with Halliburton. Malcolm loved his family and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a Baptist. Survivors include his wife of 13years, Dot Moore Morse; daughters and sons-in- law, Dana and John Brim of Houston, Patricia and Richard Collins of Liberty City and Susan Hughes of Longview; son and daughter-in-law, Billy Morse of Kilgore; and stepchildren, Sandra Brown of Beckville and Ronnie Anderson of Marshall. He was blessed with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. One brother, Jack Morse of Arkansas, and sister, Lita Kate Boyd of Marshall, also survive him. Helen Morse, his previous wife of 40 years, precedes him in death. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. today, March 18, 2007, at the funeral home.
