Ethel Mae Martin

Ethel Mae Martin, 97, of Longview will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan.
20, at Rader Funeral Home Chapel of Longview. Mrs. Martin died Friday,
Jan.16, 2004, at her residence in Longview.

Visitation is 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 19 at the funeral home.

Mrs. Martin was born April 12, 1906, in Monroe, La., to Charles and
Essie Mae Thornton. She was a retired legal secretary and was a member
of the First Baptist Church in Longview. Mrs. Martin was preceded in
death by her husband, Judge E. A. Martin; and two sons, Charles Maurice
Martin and Earnest A. Martin.

Those left to cherish her memory are two sons and one daughter-in-law,
Billy Ray Martin of Longview and Lt. Col. Thomas A. and Dorothy S.
Martin of Roswell, N.M.; four grandchildren, Erin Ward Martin of Las
Cruces, N.M., Susan Melinda Martin of Jorgenson, Ga., Thomas A. Martin,
Jr. of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Billy Ray Martin, Jr.; six
great-grandchildren; and two nieces, Victoria Phillips of Santa Ana,
Calif., and Teresa Wolcson of Fort Worth.
