Thelma Evelyn Hickey Morgan Funeral Services for Thelma Evelyn Hickey Morgan, 94, of Longview, will be held at 10 AM Tuesday, January 22, 2002 at the First United Methodist Church, 400 North Fredonia Street, with the Reverend Jim Welch officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Park Cemetery under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Pallbearers will be, James Marvin Beck, Jr., Louis Morgan Beck, Sr., Darren Scott Thomas, Ross Britton Morgan, Jason Phillip Leetz, Scott Hughes Maestri, James Marvin Beck III, Louis Morgan Beck, Jr. Mrs. Morgan was born on October 23, 1907 in Camden, Arkansas to John and Geneva Hickey. She passed away on Sunday morning, January 20, 2002 at her residence. She married Louis Morgan on April 24, 1929, and they moved to Kilgore in the early days of the Oil Boom, where Louis was a pharmacist at College Pharmacy. She and her husband started Louis Morgan Drug chain in 1953. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church where she taught the Thelma Morgan Sunday School Class for 40 years. A loving mother and grandmother, Mrs. Morgan was preceded in death by her husband, 3 brothers, and 1 sister, and is survived by her daughter, Suzanne Morgan Beck and husband James M. Beck, Sr. of Baton Rouge, son, Stephen Louis Morgan and wife Nancy Weaver Morgan of Longview, grandchildren and their spouses, James M. Beck, Jr. And wife Tami, Louis Morgan Beck, Sr. and wife Deanna, Jennifer Beck Leetz and husband Jason, Holly Morgan Thomas and husband Darren, Ross Britton Morgan and wife Josslyn, Claire Morgan Maestri and husband Scott, great grandchildren, James Marvin Beck III, Louis Morgan Beck, Jr., Aubree Michelle Beck, Cody Johnson Beck, Morgan-Taylor Jetton Thomas. The family will receive friends from 7 until 8 PM, Monday, evening, January 21, 2002 at the funeral home.
