Nichols, Ronald

Funeral services for Ronnie Nichols, 62, of Longview, will be 4 
p.m. Monday, May 7, 2007, at the chapel of Rader Funeral Home of 
Longview, 1817 Judson Road, Longview, Texas, with the Rev. Tom 
Roberson officiating. Burial will follow in Lakeview Cemetery in 
Longview. 

There will be a time of visitation at 3 p.m., just before the 
funeral service. 

Ronnie Nichols was born September 15, 1944, in Longview, Texas, 
to Coy and Minnie Nichols. He passed away at his residence in 
Longview, Friday, May 4, 2007, after a three-year illness.  

Ronnie had been a resident of Longview for most of his life, 
where he attended Pine Tree Schools. He was very active in 
sports in and out of school. He was a valuable member of the 
Pine Tree High School football, baseball and basketball teams.  
In the late 60s and early 70s, Ronnie was honored as an 
outstanding coach in the Longview Boys Baseball League, leading 
his teams to become champions. He had a great passion for doing 
all he could to help young boys seek their potential  in the 
game of baseball.
