Nutt, Juanita Kathleen Juanita Kathleen Nutt, 84, went to be with the Lord on April 20, 2007. She was born June 17, 1922, in Tarentum, Pa., to Harold and Louise Gravatt. Her family moved to Marlin, Texas, in 1925, and later settled in Corsicana, Texas, in 1934. At the tender age of 12, she moved down the street from a boy who would become the love of her life. On January 21, 1940 she married that boy, her sweetheart, John Wesley Nutt Sr., and together they began a family that grew to be one of their greatest joys. Juanita kept very busy taking care of anyone she saw had a need. It was her love for taking care of others that led her to pursue an LVN nursing certification at the age of 50. She went on to work in the nursing field for the next 15 years before retiring, but she never retired from looking after others. Mrs. Nutt was an active member of Mobberly Baptist Church and a devoted Sunday school teacher of the Joy Class. Her love and compassion for others leaves many cherished memories for her family and friends to hold on to. She will be dearly missed by her husband of 67 years, John W. Nutt Sr.; her children, Larry Nutt and wife, Jan, Diane Bower and husband, Jerry, Johnny Nutt and wife, Merilyn; grandchildren, Amy Timmons, Robin Best, Jamie Andrews, Judie Bower, John Nutt III, Michael Nutt and Cyndi Brumit; and 13 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday, April 23, at the chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Longview with Dr. Gregg Zackary officiating. Interment will follow in Lakeview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends today, April 22, at the funeral home, from 4-6 p.m. A memorial guestbook may be signed online at www.raderfh.com Published in the Longview News-Journal on 4/22/2007.
