Ottoson, Ida B. KILGORE - Ida B. Ottoson was born October 29, 1915, in Utah, five pounds of spunk with a zeal for life. She passed away June 24, 2007, at the age of 91. She moved to Southern California at age 8. She later married Paul S. Ottoson and produced two children, Gary Carl and Charlene Kay "Sherry." She was an excellent mother, counselor and friend. She loved ballroom dancing, swimming, traveling and playing cards. She enjoyed working for many years as a piano teacher and later as a hearing aid fitter. She embraced the faith of Jehovah's Witnesses in 1955 and continued faithful to that hope until the end of her life. She was known as a classy lady with a twinkle in her eye, a wonderful laugh and a love for life. Survivors include her son and daughter; five grandchildren, Paul Collins, Greg Ottoson, Jonathan Herd, Brandy Herd and Micah Herd; and two great-grandsons, Jackson and Joseph Herd. Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, July 14, 2007, at the Kilgore Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. Published in the Longview News-Journal on 7/11/2007.
