Services for Robert R. Owens, 71, of White Oak, will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, 
November 8, 2006, at Welch Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Tommy Brasher 
and the Rev. Ben Clayon officiating. Burial will follow in Old White Oak 
Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Welch Funeral Home. Mr. Owens 
died Friday, November 3, 2006, at a local medical center. Mr. Owens was born 
December 27, 1935, to Dago and Alva Wright Owens in White Oak. He was a 
lifetime resident of White Oak. Mr. Owens was of the Baptist faith and 
attended Light House Church. He was an avid supporter of White Oak school 
sports. Mr. Owens was preceded in death by his parents, Dago and Alva Owens, 
and special aunt, Eunice Wright. Left to cherish his memory are special 
cousin, Pat Havner; aunt, Pauline Moss; and extended family and friends, 
including Charlie Owens and employees; Bobby Sigman and employees; and 
members of the VFW Post No. 1183. The family requests memorials be made to 
the Robert Owens Fund at White Oak State Bank, 1101 S. White Oak Road, White 
Oak, Texas 75693. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, 
November 7, 2006, at Welch Funeral Home. An online registry may be signed at
