Perkins, Cathryn Ann 

Services for Cathryn Ann Perkins will be privately held. She died 
September 11, 2006, at a local hospital. Ms. Perkins was born April 
7, 1940, in New Orleans, La. She graduated with honors from Duke 
University. She was a certified public accountant and worked in the 
private sector for several years before beginning her career with 
the federal government in Washington, D.C. She retired in 1994 at a 
GS-14 level, auditing the energy department for the General 
Accounting Office and Congressional committees. She enjoyed reading, 
the theatre, and ballet. She loved her family, her friends, and her 
cat, Ginny. She was preceded in death by her parents, Cathryn Lee and 
Sidney Leon Perkins; a brother, Sidney Leon Perkins Jr.; and one 
nephew, Adam Lee Perkins. She is survived by her brother, David Lee 
Perkins and his wife, Glenda; and her sister, Susan A. Perkins. Ann 
will be missed by all who knew her. Memorial contributions may be 
made as desired.
