Porter, Bruce Elden 


Graveside services for Bruce Elden Porter will be conducted 10 a.m. Friday, July 
7, 2006, at Lakeview Memorial Gardens, with Pastor James Webber officiating. 
Bruce was born December 20, 1952, in Fairfield, to Horace and Lois Porter, and 
he went to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 2, 2006. Bruce was known as a 
perfectionist in everything he did and enjoyed anything pertaining to computers 
and electronics. He was preceded in death by his father. His memory will be 
cherished by his mother, Lois Porter Skinner; sister, Cathy Sellers and husband, 
Mike; halrother, John Thomas Haney and wife, Marilyn; aunts, Norma Hudson, 
Dorothy Farmer, and Orvillene Boyd and husband, Jay; step-brothers, Glen and Don 
Skinner; step-sister, Kay Skinner; and a number of nieces and nephews. We will 
all miss him for the love and tenderness that he showed each of us. In lieu of 
flowers, contributions may be made to Berean Baptist Church, P.O. Box 150974, 
Longview, TX 75615. Visitation will be from 8-10 a.m. Friday, prior to the 
graveside services.
