Page, Mary Evers Funeral services for Mary Evers Page, 96, of Longview, will be at noon today, June 26, 2007, at Rader Funeral Home Chapel, 1617 Judson Road, with Murphy Fisher, David Watts and T.D. Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in Lakeview Memorial Gardens. Mary died Saturday, June 23, 2007, at Summer Meadows Nursing Home in Longview. She was born December 12, 1910, in Lamesa, to Charles Terrell and Eula Mae Conner Trammell. She graduated from Lamesa High School and attended Abilene Christian College. Mary married her beloved husband, William "Bud" Evers in September of 1929, and they moved to Greggton in 1931 during the oil boom. Mary and Bud had two daughters, Eleanor Jean and Patricia Ann. Mary worked for Nash Clothiers and Dr. John Wensley. After the death of her beloved husband, Bud, Mary had such a passion for fashion that she opened Mary's Smart Shop in 1970. She retired in 1980 and married Milton "Dick" Page. Everyone who knew Mary knew she loved the Lord and that she was a loving servant and member of the Reel Road Church of Christ. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Eula Mae Trammell; husbands, William "Bud" Evers and Milton "Dick" Page; and sister, Frankie Minnix. She is survived by her daughter, Jean Cox of Longview; daughter and son-in- law, Pat and Ed Walker of Longview; grandsons and their wives, Butch and Cherie Cox of Houston, and Chuck and Marie Bailey of Cedar Park; granddaughters and their husbands, Rebecca and John Wampler of Mineola, Mary and Gary Carpenter of Fort Worth, and Cindy and Clark Craig of Kingwood; great-grandchildren, Bryan, Kelly, Lauren and Tyler Cox, Jaclyn and John Wampler, Lee and Ben Carpenter, Jade, Taylor, Hunter and McGregor Bailey; and nephew and wife, Bill and Pat Minnix of Garland. Mary's great-grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Those desiring to do so may make memorial contributions to Heart'sWay Hospice, 1306 Pine Tree Rd., Longview, TX 75604.
