Parsons, Michael Shane   	

GLADEWATER - Shane Parsons, 18, of Gladewater, died April 7, 2007, in Gladewater.

Born May 3, 1988, Shane lived in the area his whole life and was a 2006 graduate 
of Gladewater High School. Shane was the type of person who never met a stranger 
and would help anyone. He was a "cowboy." At an early age, he grew to love horses, 
and was a member of the Wood Co. Riding Association and the Union Ridge Riding 
Club. He was a horse breaker and trainer and loved to help at the rodeo events.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather and grandmother, Leo and Ann Dunkin; 
grandmother, Joyce Styers; and his horse, Jack.

He is survived by his dad, Donnie Parsons of White Oak; mother and step-father, 
Nanette Parsons and Richard Varner; sisters, Brittney Parsons and Tiffany Varner; 
brothers, Cody Parsons and Brandon Morgan; grandmother, Frances Varner; 
grandfather, Wiley Styers; several loving aunts, uncles and cousins; one nephew; 
and a host of friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 12, 2007, at Calvary 
Baptist Church on Highway 80 West in Gladewater. Burial will follow in Friendship 
Cemetery.

A gathering of family and friends will be from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday evening, April 
11, 2007, at the funeral home, under the direction of Croley Funeral Home, 401 N. 
Center St., Gladewater, TX.
