Partin, Lois Lois Partin went to be with her Lord surrounded by her family and friends, November 17, 2006, at a local nursing home. She was born August 20, 1908, in Silsbee, Texas, to L. Sampson and Appalone Gore Kirkendall. She was from a large family of five sisters and two brothers and is survived by one sister, Opal O'Neal from Beaumont, Texas. She went to work at Southwestern Bell in Beaumont in 1939, and retired as a chief operator at 65. She worked for five years on the switchboard for the Baptist Hospital and then did health care for friends until she moved to Longview in 1990 to live with her daughters. She is survived by two daughters, Evelyn Scott and Virginia Haskett of Longview; and one person she loved as her son, Casey Dickens from Lindale, Texas. She had four grandchildren, Tricia and Jim Boggs from Hallsville, Texas, Brenda and Noah Yoder from Dallas, Texas, Debbie Paul from Gilmer, Texas, and Linda Baker from Utah.; seven great-grandchildren, Cassandra Sullivan, Phillip Boggs, Katy Boggs, Chad Yoder, Chris Yoder, Cody Yoder and Alicia Yoder; and two great-great-grandchildren, Koby Yoder and Scarlet Sheehan. She was a member of the faith class at Fellowship Baptist Church and loved her church. But most of all, she loved her Lord. We know today she is rejoicing with all her loved ones who have preceded her in death. Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, November 21, 2006, at the chapel of Lakeview Funeral Home with the Rev. Ben Clayton officiating. Burial will follow in Lakeview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday, November 20, 2006, at the funeral home.
