Pickerel, Lila Louise 1924 - 2007 Lila Louise Turner was born September 29, 1924, in Missouri. She died July 23, 2007. An Oklahoma native, she spent most of her adult life in Texas. She was a buyer and merchandiser for Fedway and had a long career as an executive with Dillard's in Longview. She retired from Dillard's in 1992. She was married to H.E. "Pick" Pickerel, who preceded her in death in 1990. After retirement, she moved to Muskogee, Oklahoma. She was a member of the Pilot Club of Longview for many years and served as president from 1972-1973. She was awarded the highest honor pilot in 1972-1973. She was also a member of the Garden Club and Bridge Club in Longview. She was a member of Grace Episcopal Church, New Friends, and the Muskogee Garden Club in Oklahoma. As friends, we believe the most important things in her life were her husband, career and lifestyle. She is survived by her brother, Tom Turner and his wife, Nelda; several nieces and nephews; and many special friends. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, July 30, 2007, at Rosewood in Longview, under the direction of Rader Funeral Home. Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, August 3, 2007, at the Grace Episcopal Church in Muskogee. A memorial guestbook may be signed at www.raderfh.com.
