Pierce, Joan McQueen KILGORE - Services for JoAn McQueen Pierce, 50, of Kilgore, will be at 4 p.m. Saturday, September 22, 2007, at Rader Funeral Home Chapel of Kilgore. Burial will follow in Danville Cemetery. Mrs. Pierce died September 17, 2007, in Kilgore. Born July 28, 1957, in Winnsboro, she was a nurse for Highland Pines Nursing Home. Survivors include her husband, Robert Pierce; children, Cherry Clark, Jason Lee Pierce and Holly Kay Keith; and sisters, Mary Clary, Betty McQueen and Cassy Miller. Charles officiating. Burial will follow in the Danville Cemetery. Mrs. Pierce passed away on Monday, September 17, 2007, in Kilgore. Mrs. Pierce was born July 28, 1957, in Winnsboro, to Billy Joe and Mary Lou Nash McQueen, who preceded her in death. JoAn worked as a nurse at Highland Pines Nursing Home. Her passion was caring for others. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister. Mrs. Pierce was very giving and loving to anyone in need. JoAn's first love was her family, especially her grandchildren. She was their "Nanny" and proud of it. She will be remembered for her sense of humor. All who knew her will miss JoAn. Mrs. Pierce was preceded in death by her parents, Billy Joe McQueen and Mary Lou Nash McQueen; and one sister, Carol Brewer. Mrs. Pierce is survived by her husband of 27 years, Robert Pierce; three children, Cherry Clark of Trinity, Jason Lee Pierce of Kilgore, and Holly Kay Keith of Silverdale, Washington; three sisters, Mary Clary, Betty McQueen and Cassy Miller, all of Kilgore; five grandchildren, Brianna Colley, Zein Vaughn, Jason Lee Pierce Jr., Ashton Nathaniel Pierce and Braydon Pierce; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Heart Association. The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. this evening, September 21, 2007, at Rader Funeral Home of Kilgore.
