Pilgrim, Maxine PITTSBURG - Memorial services for Maxine Kinsey Pilgrim, of Longview, formerly of Pittsburg, will be at 11 a.m. today, July 19, 2007, at Erman Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Pittsburg, and interment will be in Macedonia Cemetery. She was born May 28, 1926, in Bogata, to Cecil and Daisy Smith Kinsey, and she died July 16, 2007, at her home in Longview. Mrs. Pilgrim retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone in 1981, and she was a member of the Longview Chapter of Telephone Pioneers of America. She was a longtime member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Pittsburg. She met and married Pete Pilgrim in 1944, and they made their home in Pittsburg together until his death in 1990. Ms. Pilgrim was also preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Ola Mae Green and Bernice Braudaway. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Sherry and Dicky Davis of Hallsville, and Nita and Bill Reeves of McKinney; grandchildren and great- grandchildren, Derrick and Krisztina Davis, Barbie, Bence, A'Kos and SofiŽa of Fort Rucker, Ala.; Dustin Davis of Conroe and Brooklynn Davis of Spring Hill; Andy and Amie Akard Rittler and Sam of McKinney; and Crystal Davis of San Marcos. Mrs. Pilgrim also left behind numerous special friends at Eden Place in Longview, and best friend, Truby Stewart of Pittsburg. The family will receive friends from 9-11 a.m. today, prior to services.
