DANVILLE CEMETERY - KILGORE Paul, Herb KILGORE - Services for Herb Paul, 83, of Kilgore will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, January 31, 2008, at the Rader Funeral Home Chapel, with the Reverend Earl W. "Buddy" Duggins officiating. Interment will follow in the Danville Cemetery. Mr. Paul passed away on Tuesday, January 29, 2008, in Longview. Mr. Paul was born July 23, 1924, in Long Beach, California, to Herbert and Maggie Paul, who preceded him in death. Mr. Paul served in the United States Air Force in the 82nd Airborne Paratroopers during World War II. He also taught Jump School while serving in the United States military. Mr. Paul moved to Kilgore in 1958. He was a 32nd Degree Mason and member of the Danville Masonic Lodge No. 101. Mr. Paul worked as a sales representative for Pangburn Chocolates for many years. He was also a licensed Real Estate Agent specializing in farm and ranch properties. Mr. Paul was a member of the Pinecrest Bible Church in Longview. He will always be remembered for being a consummate patriot who loved his country. Mr. Paul is survived by his wife, Beulah Paul of Kilgore; two sons, Ernie Paul of Lake Cherokee, and James H. Kennemer of Justin; one daughter and son-in-law, Kay Paul and Gary Ketchum of Kilgore; two sisters, Helen Branum of Pennsylvania, and Frances Idom of Longview; two brothers, Charles Paul of Grand Prairie, and Donald Paul of Monroe, Louisiana; as well as many other loving family and friends. The family will receive friends from 6-7:30 p.m. Wednesday evening, January 30, 2008, at Rader Funeral Home. Published in the Longview News-Journal on 1/30/2008.
