Reavis, Maxine Jones 


Doris Maxine Jones Reavis, 72, of Longview, passed away Friday, August 11, 
2006, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Reavis was born 
June 27, 1934, in Upshur County, to A.B. and Lillie Nix Jones. She was a 
lifelong Christian and a devoted wife and loving mother. She was a member of 
New Beginnings Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband of 53 years, 
Charles Reavis of Longview; her two sons, Gary Reavis of White Oak, and Bruce 
Reavis of Albuquerque, New Mexico; her daughter, Lori "Missy" Reavis Mooty of 
Longview; her sister, Shirley Shaw; five brothers, James, C.W., Bobby, Ronnie 
and Johnny Jones; and her six grandsons, all of whom are honorary pallbearers. 
She was preceded in death by her father; mother; one sister, Francis; and one 
brother, Henry. Services will be 10 a.m. Monday, August 14, 2006, in the 
chapel of Lakeview Funeral Home, with the Rev. Tim Hill officiating. Burial 
will follow in Lakeview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends 
9-10 a.m. Monday, at the funeral home. For those unable to attend, online
