Reuther, Lee Roy Funeral services for Lee Roy Reuther, 79, of Longview, will be noon Monday, May 15, 2006, at First Lutheran Church with the Rev. Phil Fenton officiating under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. A service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Wallis, Texas, where burial will follow in Wallis City Cemetery under the direction of Knesek Funeral Home. Mr. Reuther passed away Friday May 12, 2006, in Longview. He was born September 5, 1926, in Wallis, Texas, to George and Freda Reuther. He was a graduate of Wallis High School. He was retired from the U.S. Army and the U.S. Postal Service and also the Merchant Marines. He was a member of First Lutheran Church in Longview. He was a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Disabled Veterans and the American Legion. He is survived by his wife, Jewell, of Longview; two daughters, Peggy Stevens and husband, David, of Austin, Texas, and Becky Irish of New Braunfels, Texas; son, Walter Reuther of Beaumont, Texas; stepson, Mike Anglin and wife, Earline, of Rusk, Texas; three grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; five stepgreat-grandchildren; brother, John Reuther and wife, Frances, of Katy, Texas; sister, Annie Mae Korneck of Wallis, Texas; and several nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to the Building Fund at First Lutheran Church 3901 Bill Owens Parkway Longview, Texas 75605, or to Hope House. Pallbearers will be Desral Barrricre, Wayne Tramel, Steve Graham, Larry Graham, Richard Del Rio and John Tyrrell. Honorary pallbearers will be Charles Kaplan, Charlie Hart, Ghlee Renner, Joe Kalenda, Richard Kellerhouse, Milton Meyerdirk , Ted Tressler and Joe Derry. The family would like to offer a special thanks to Dr. Rangu, Dr. Martin, Dr. Crumpler and Chuck Kaplain, as well as Good Shepherd Home Health Services, the Rev.
