Ridings, Lenora Ann Lenora Ann Ridings passed away January 25, 2006, in Longview. She was born May 3, 1921, in San Antonio, Texas, to Bert and Letha Thompson. Mrs. Ridings graduated from the University of Texas with a major in drama. She was a member of Gamma Phi Beta Sorority. During World War II, she entertained soldiers in camps and hospitals. She was on the board of directors of the San Antonio Little Theater and a member of the Actor's Equity in New York City. Her career in the fashion industry included years as a buyer for Joske's in San Antonio, Donaldson's in Minneapolis, Boston Store of Milwaukee, and The White House in Beaumont, Texas. Mrs. Ridings and her husband, Bill, retired and moved to Longview in 1980. She was preceded in death by her brother, Judge Bert W. Thompson; husband, Michael Kelley; and husband, Bill Ridings. Mrs. Ridings is survived by her nephew, William Thompson and wife, Loren; and cousins, Bill Karger, Sarilee Ferguson, Ted Terry, Will Terry, and Douglas Terry. Graveside services for Mrs. Ridings will be held at a later date at the Elmira Chapel Cemetery.
