Rice Jr., Charles E.

Graveside services for Charles E. "Charlie" Rice Jr., 63, of Longview, 
will be 2 p.m. Saturday, November 4, 2006, at Memory Park Cemetery, 
with Roy Howlett officiating. Mr. Rice died Tuesday, October 31, 2006, 
at a local hospital. He was born September 25, 1943, in Rising Star, 
Texas, to Charles E. and Martha Carlisle Rice Sr. A resident of Longview 
since 1956, Mr. Rice was a member of the Harmony Baptist Church in 
Hallsville, a master carpenter for Classic Homes of Longview, and had 
served with the Texas National Guard. He is survived by his wife, Betty 
of Longview; a son and daughter-in-law, Steven and Dawn Rice of 
Hallsville; a daughter and son-in-law, Stacey and Kenneth Evans of Allen, 
Texas; grandchildren, Cameron Ivey, Sydnee Evans, Shelby, Alexis, and 
William Rice; parents, Charles and Martha Rice of Hallsville; sister and 
brother-in-law, Linda and Reid Russell of Dallas; brothers and 
sisters-in-law, Robert and Genia Rice of Porter, Texas, and Joe and Sue 
Rice of New Mexico; along with a number of nieces and nephews. Memorial 
contributions may be made to the Longview Cancer Center, 1300 N. Fourth 
St., Longview, TX 75601. Family visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday 
evening, November 3, 2006, at Rader Funeral Home at 1617 Judson Road. A
