Ricks, Arthur   	

GLADEWATER - Arthur Ricks, 85, of White Oak, died April 21, 2007, at a 
local hospital.

Born March 19, 1922, in Mount Pleasant, Texas, he had been a resident of 
White Oak for many years. Arthur retired from General American Oil Co. 
after 42 years of service. He was also a U.S. Army World War II veteran, 
serving in an infantry division.

Arthur is survived by his wife of 66-1/2 years, LaVell Ricks of White Oak; 
son, Gary Ricks and his wife, Shari, of Michigan; grandchildren, Erica 
Gurley and her husband, Jeff, and Erin Ricks; great-grandchildren, Jacob 
Ricks, Madison Gurley, Jonathan Gurley, Cole Ricks and Tyler Ricks; and 
many other loving family members.

Arthur was preceded in death by his three brothers and two sisters.

Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 25, 2007, at Lakeview 
Memorial Gardens in Longview under the direction of Croley Funeral Home, 
401 N. Center Street, Gladewater.

A gathering of family and friends will be Tuesday, April 24, 2007, from 
6-8 p.m., at the funeral home.
