CREMATION OR CEMETERY - LONGVIEW


Memorial services for Wanda Lee Riddick, 81, of Longview will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, April 9, 2015 in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home with Dr. Greg Zachary and Reverend Scott Schulik officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. prior to the service. 

She was born August 24, 1933 in Logan County, KY to Claude and Clarice Anderson and passed away Monday, April 6, in a Longview hospital. Wanda lived a life very few have lived. She loved to travel and shop. Her life had many joys. Her sons were her pride and joy. Her husband her steady rock. Her grandchildren the diamonds of her eyes. She had a faith that never wavered nor faded. She lived to work. She never liked to slow down unless there was a breeze or a sight that amazed her. She was a long time member of Mobberly Baptist Church that she loved dearly. After retiring, she enjoyed to volunteer anytime she had to the church. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her brothers , Virgil, Edwin Earnest, Harry. Sisters: Jewel Mae, Adelia and Jean.

Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 61 years, Grover H. Riddick, Jr. of Longview; sons, Michael Riddick and wife Linda of Longview and Alan Riddick and wife Elizabeth Ann of Manvel, TX; daughter, Elizabeth Marlena Taylor and husband David of Winona; grandchildren, Angela Riddick, Brian Michael Riddick and Christopher Alan Riddick, Jr.; great grandson, Richard David Taylor, III and great granddaughter, Cabry Ashton Riddick; sisters, Marjorie Forrester and Judy Eversole, both of Louisville, KY; and brother, Kenneth Anderson of Simpsonville, KY; and numerous nieces and nephews.
