Secord Jr., Billy David Memorial services for Billy David Secord Jr., 49, of Longview, will be noon Tuesday, July 18, 2006, at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Michael C. Macey, Jeff Christian and the Rev. Dewayne Beaty officiating under direction of Rader Funeral Home. Private burial will precede the services at Lakeview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home this evening from 6-8. David was born June 17, 1957, in Longview, to Billy D. and Nell Secord, and he died Saturday, July 15, 2006, in Longview. He was a 1975 graduate of Spring Hill High School and received his associate degree of photography from Kilgore College, bachelor of science of social work from Stephen F. Austin and his master of science of social work from UT at Arlington. He had worked at Texas Eastman for 15 years, then at Good Shepherd Medical Center, where he was manager of social work. He was extremely excited about his new position as administrator for Greater Hospice of Texas. David was the most caring, generous, and loving man we've ever known. He loved the Lord with all his heart and was dedicated to his family and children. He had a heart for helping people. He was close to his friends, and he loved life and spending time with his family. He loved watching Michael play football, and he enjoyed playing golf, being with his family and he adored all of his children. He is survived by his wife, Cathy; son, Michael and his mother, Debbie Secord, both of Longview; mother, Nell Secord of Longview; brother, Marty Secord and wife, Kelli, and their daughter, Jordan, and son, Will, all of Frisco, Texas; brother, John Secord of Branson, Missouri, and his daughters, Lauren and Kristin Secord of Longview; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Arles and Joan Vandiver of Sulphur Springs; stepchildren, Kendrah and Brad Tennison, Todd and Linsey Beall, Kimberli Beall and Kayla Avery, all of Longview; grandchild, Olivia Tennison; several aunts, uncles and cousins and many special friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Bill Secord; and his grandparents, Dee and Verna Secord and Woodroe and Sibyl Martin. Memorials may be made to Greater Hospice of Texas, P. O.
