Skipper, Bette KILGORE -- Services for Bette Skipper, 84, of Kilgore, will be 10 a.m., Monday, June 5, 2006, at the chapel of Rader Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. William J. Ingersoll and the Rev. Roberta Dodds Ingersoll officiating. Burial will follow in Danville Cemetery. Mrs. Skipper died Friday, June 2, 2006, in Tyler. She was born September 17, 1921, in Okmulgee, Oklahoma. Her family moved to Longview, Texas, where she graduated high school. Bette Thomson married Jack Skipper on March 9, 1944. They moved to Kilgore in 1945. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, the Samuel Dinks Chapter of the DAR, the Colonial Dames and the Ladies Golf Association of Meadowbrook Country Club. She loved to meet and greet her many friends and family. Mrs. Skipper is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Kellye Skipper of Longview; grandchildren, Kelli Kruse of Longview, J.T. Skipper of Kilgore, Cody Skipper of Dallas, and Lauren Skipper of Longview; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Skipper; a son, Jack T. "Bud" Skipper; a daughter, Sharon Kruse; and a granddaughter, Courtney Kruse Smith. The family will receive friends at the Skipper home in Kilgore. Memorial contributions may be made to the Susan G.
