Smith, Fred B.    

Memorial services for Fred B. Smith, 67, of White Oak, will be 11:30 a.m. 
Monday, July 17, 2006, at the Welch Funeral Home Chapel, 4619 Judson Road. 
There will be a private family burial. Mr. Smith passed away Friday, July 
14, 2006. Mr. Smith was born April 20, 1939, in Pampa, Texas, to Boyd B. 
and Bennie Williams Smith. He had been a resident of Longview for one year 
coming from Indianapolis, Indiana and DeSoto, Texas. Mr. Smith was a member 
of the Church of Christ. He was a U.S. Army veteran and worked in airline 
management. Mr. Smith is survived by his wife, Pam Smith; one daughter and 
son-in-law, Kelli and Mathew Whelan; son, Greg Smith; sons and 
daughters-in-law, Shane and Linda Smith, and Brett and Marcia Smith; five 
grandchildren, Kendal Whelan, Amanda Smith, Victoria Smith, Gabriel Smith, 
and Cruz Smith; and one brother and sister-in-law, James and Harlene Smith. 
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 3613 S. Broadway, 
Suite 401, Tyler, TX 75701-8732.
