Smith, Roosevelt "Smitty" 


SAN ANTONIO -- Roosevelt "Smitty" Smith passed away May 6, 2006, in San Antonio. Mr. 
Smith was born August 13, 1928, in Hallsville, to Finis Smith and Tessie Houston Smith, 
who preceded him in death. He is survived by his sister, Gypsy Jones; brothers, Raybon 
and Sallie Smith, and Simmie D. Collins; nieces, Janice Brooks, Lee Ester Fiyakola, and 
Sandra Thomas; nephews, Darrell Jones, Larry Jones, Donald Smith, Dewayne Smith, and 
Michael Smith; and a host of family and friends. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. 
Saturday, May 13, 2006, at East Cotton Street Church of Christ, with Brother Larry Lee 
officiating. Interment, with military honors, will follow at 1 p.m. in Jordan Valley 
Memorial Park. Arrangements are by Sutton-Sutton Mortuary of San Antonio. Visitation 
will be 6-8 p.m. Friday evening, May 12, 2006, at the church.
