Sosebee, Leland 


Funeral services for Leland Sosebee, 94, of Longview, will be 3 p.m. Wednesday, 
June 7, 2006, at the Welch Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Dennis Terry, the 
Rev. Scott Schulik, and Dr. Al Birkelund officiating. Burial will be in Rosewood 
Park. Mr. Sosebee died Sunday, June 4, 2006, at his home. He was born April 26, 
1912, to Arfastus and Mabel Sosebee in Munday, Texas. Mr. Sosebee was a member 
of the Mobberly Baptist Church, an ordained deacon for 63 years, and had been a 
resident of Longview for 22 years, moving from Borger. He was a retired petroleum 
lab technician. Mr. Sosebee is survived by his daughter, Gwen King of Avinger; 
sister, Artie Roberts of Farmington, New Mexico; grandchildren and spouses, 
Marland and Tammy King of Buffalo, Mark and Beverly King of Tyler, Matt and Tammy 
King of Avinger, Mickey and Tabatha King of Tyler, Ravonda and Danny Hardcastle of 
Wheeler, Karl and Kim Sosebee of Borger, and Kyle and Susan Sosebee of Borger; and 
14 great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the Greater Hospice of Texas, 1905 
W. Loop 281, Space 81, Longview, TX 75604. The family will receive friends 6 p.m. 
Tuesday evening, June 6, 2006, at Welch Funeral Home. An online registry may be
