Stanley, Rudolph E. Rudolph E. Stanley, 82, of Kilgore, died Wednesday, August 30, 2006, at his residence. He was born December 9, 1923, in Myra, Louisiana, to Henry and Lillie Stanley. Rudolph was a member of the Gateway Baptist Church. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during World War II. Rudolph was self employed in the oil field industry, having owned and managed Bailers Inc. in Kilgore for many years. His favorite hobby was fishing. He was preceded in death by his parents; his children, Elton Ray Stanley and Judy Frazier; brothers, O'Neal and Jimmy Stanley; and sister, Maxine Short. Those left to cherish his memory are his grandchildren, Vonna Crowley and husband, Cory, of Gilmer, Eric Stanley of Kilgore, and Jenny Quinalty and husband, Harland, of Overton; great-grandchildren, Kylie Crowley, Dustin and Cody Quinalty, and Julie Stanley; his brothers, Harold and James Stanley of Kilgore, Travis Stanley of Longview, and Jerry Stanley of Waxahachie; and sister-in-law, Jan Stanley. Rudolph will also be missed by many friends that he made while in the oil field industry. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, September 2, 2006, at Lakeview Memorial Gardens. Military honors will be provided by Longview VFW Post No. 4002. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday evening, September 1, 2006, at Lakeview Funeral Home in Longview.
