Stephens, Daniel Arden KILGORE -- Services for Daniel "Danny" Stephens, 26, of Elderville will be 2 p.m., Monday, May 8, 2006, at the Our Redeemer Lutheran Church with the Rev. Darrell Howanitz officiating. Burial will follow in the Woodlawn Cemetery, Woodlawn, Texas. Mr. Stephens died Thursday, May 4, 2006, as the result of an automobile accident. He was born June 25, 1979, in Longview, Texas. Danny was a 1997 graduate of Kilgore High School. He attended Kilgore College and was currently enrolled in the University of Texas at Tyler, where he was studying history. He enjoyed taking part in Civil War reenactments. Danny was a member of the Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Longview, where he was active with the youth who went on many mission trips, including Russia and Mexico. He was employed with Super 1 Foods in Longview for a number of years. Danny was a stranger to no one and will be missed by many. He loved Jesus as his Lord and Savior. Mr. Stephens is survived by his parents, Rudy and Rhonda Stephens of Elderville; a brother, Rudy "Bubba" Stephens, III of Elderville; grandparents, Barbara Hudson of Woodlawn, and Rudy and Hazel Stephens of Marshall; aunts and uncles, Linda and Jerry Stobaugh of Marshall, Michael and Valeria Stephens of Marshall, Debby and Mike Sullivan of Marshall, and Brenda Ramsey of Marshall; cousins, Phillip and Scott Sullivan of Marshall, Stacy, Haylee and Janna Ramsey of Marshall, Lindsey Stobaugh of Marshall, Lee Harrison, Michelle, and Christopher Stephens of Marshall, Melanie and Dan Manjack of Destin, Florida, and Wayne and Sissy Stobaugh of Magnolia, Texas; special friends, Karen, Mike and Chris Sullivan of Marshall, Mike and Ryan Herring of Marshall, Karol, Jeff, Caleb and Rachel Schneider of Gladewater, and Aunt Ruby Hudson of Lake Cherokee; members of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church; godparents, Larry and Pat Hudson of Houston; and numerous friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, A. E. Hudson and Georgia Stephens.
