Sumrow, Delia Gonzales "Dee" Delia "Dee" Sumrow, 52, was born July 28, 1953, in Beaumont, Texas. Raised in Port Arthur, Texas, she graduated from Bishop Byrne High School. She was married for 31 years to Rusty Sumrow. Along with her husband, she is survived by her son, Kevin Sumrow; step-son, Andy Sumrow with his wife, Danielle, and their children, Bryson and Brooklyn; mother, Alicia Gonzales; sister, Mary "Alice" Garcia and husband, Andrew; two brothers, Jesse Gonzales and Alfred Gonzales with wife, Kathy; and many uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, Antonio Gonzales Jr. Mrs. Sumrow died Friday, April 14, 2006, at her home in Longview, Texas, from Lou Gehrigs Disease. The visitation will be 2-7 p.m. Sunday, April 16, 2006, at Welch Funeral Home, 4619 Judson. A rosary will be recited 7 p.m. Sunday, immediately following the visitation. A mass of Christian burial will be noon Monday, April 17, 2006, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Longview, Texas. Dee worked with the Longview Independent School District as a teacher's assistant for 11 years. Working with children was her loving joy. She was a devoted wife, a loving mother, and a joy to her whole family and friends. She had a gentle and loving heart. We love you and will miss you. The Lord has called you to his kingdom.
