Swan, William R. "Bill" Funeral services for William R. "Bill" Swan, 53, of Ore City, will be held noon Friday, September 22, 2006, in the chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Longview, with Pastor Dennis Elliott officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Memorial Gardens. He passed away Monday, September 18, 2006, in Pittsburg. Bill was born March 18, 1953, in Burlington, Iowa. He was a longtime resident of the Longview area. He was a millwright at Lone Star Steel and was the president of his bass club. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Clara Swan; brother, Johnny Swan; and father-in-law, Alton Yaws. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 34 years, Debra Swan; daughter, Samantha Swan and fianc?e, Matthew Mattson; sisters, Mary Simmons and husband Ron, and Katherine Levine and husband, Joe; mother-in-law, Ouida Yaws; and many nieces and nephews.
