Satterwhite, Woodrow KILGORE - Services for Woodie Satterwhite, 91, of Longview, will be at 2 p.m. Friday, May 4, 2007, at the Rader Funeral Home Chapel, with the Reverend Dr. William J. Ingersoll officiating. Masonic burial rites will follow. Mr. Satterwhite died Wednesday, May 2, 2007, in Longview. He was born January 30, 1916, in White Oak, Texas ,to M.C. and Ada L. Satterwhite. He attended grade school in White Oak and graduated from Longview High School. Mr. Satterwhite attended BMI Business College. He worked for oil field supply store in Greggton before going to work in Kilgore in 1942. Mr. Satterwhite served our country in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He worked in oil field supply companies in El Dorado, Arkansas and Shreveport, Louisiana before returning to Kilgore. Mr. Satterwhite retired in 1978 from Fluid Pac Pump Co. (National Supply). He lived in Andrews and San Angelo during his retirement years, moving back to East Texas last year. Mr. Satterwhite was a member of the Danville Masonic Lodge No. 101. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gene Young Satterwhite; six sisters; and two brothers. He is survived by his stepson, Chance Young of Mesquite, Texas; a sister, Tina Cockerell of Gladewater, Texas; and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be his nephews, Bob Satterwhite, Gary Pepper, Jack Dunnavant, Garth Cockerell, Phillip Cockerell, Leslie Cockerell, James Oliver and Rodney Rushing.
