Sherman, Nellie Endsley ATLANTA - Nellie Endsley Sherman, 96, died June 18, 2007, in Longview, Texas. She was born August 6, 1910, in Ravana, Arkansas, as the tenth of 12 children to John Bluford Endsley and Jennett Emmaline Peak Endsley. On August 13, 1935, she married Floyd Sherman. They lived in numerous "oil field" towns of the Southwest as her husband, Floyd, was employed for years in the oil production and exploration industry. Nellie Sherman is survived by two sons, Harold Sherman and his wife, Joyce of Harrison, Arkansas and Carroll Sherman and his wife, Diana of Longview, Texas. She was the proud grandmother of three grandchildren, Duane Sherman of Hollister, Missouri and twins, Renese Sherman Henderson and Dr. Darrel Sherman, both of Longview, Texas. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren. Numerous nieces and nephews and their children knew their aunt as "Aunt Nellie" and loved her dearly. Nellie Sherman's sons will always be indebted to her for her constant love and support throughout their lives. No person could have had a more loving and guiding mother. West Side Baptist Church in Atlanta, Texas, and her Sunday school class were always in Mrs. Sherman's thoughts and prayers. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, June 22, 2007, at the Hanner Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow in Beech Creek Cemetery of Cass County. Pallbearers will be Mike Eason, Johnny Eason, Mack Endsley, Harold Boze, W.L. Sherman, Darrel Sherman and David Henderson. Memorial contributions may be made to West Side Baptist Church, 712 W.
