Stephens-Stoker, Phyllis Y. Services for Phyllis Y. Stephens-Stoker will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 31, 2006, at Parkview Baptist Church, with Elder Kenneth Stephens officiating. Entombment will be in Lakeview Memorial Gardens, directed by Stanmore Funeral Home of Longview. Ms. Stephens-Stoker, an LVN at East Texas Medical Center in Gilmer, was called home to glory on Saturday, October 28, 2006. Phyllis was born July 16, 1960, in Midland, to the parentage of the Reverend and Sister Joe Stephens. In her early years, she grew up in Midland, and later moved with her parents while in junior high school to Longview. Ms. Stephens-Stoker was a member of Parkview Baptist Church in Longview. She was preceded in death by her special sister-in-law, Sherry Ann Russell Stephens; grandfather, Kimmon Borens; uncle, Benny Borens; and nephew, Brandon Stephens. Phyllis leaves to cherish her memories three loving children: son, Deverell Stephens of Longview; daughter, Theresa and Chris Walker of Longview; and son, Terrance Crayton of San Marcus; a grandson she was rearing, Keylon Crayton of Longview; her parents, the Reverend and Sister Joe Stephens; grandmother, Gatha Borens of Gilmer; brothers, Kenneth Stephens, Darrell and Mary, and Cedric and Beverlyn, all of Longview; sister, Rosalind Hodge of Longview; two grandsons, DeMadre and P'Kalyn Stephens, both of Longview; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins; and special friends she dearly loved, Chris Gray, Lisa Tearson, Jennie Bartlett, and CeeCee Harris.
