Stanley, Flossie Faye Services for Flossie Faye Stanley, 95, of Whitehouse, will be at 2 p.m. Friday, July 20, 2007, at the Welch Funeral Home Chapel, 4619 Judson Road, with Pastor David Paul Mays officiating. Burial will follow in Lakeview Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Stanley passed away Tuesday, July 17, 2007, at Hospice of East Texas in Tyler. A longtime resident of the East Texas area, Mrs. Stanley was born May 21, 1912, in Gilmer, to Henry Allen and Mary Ellen Moore. She was a nurse aide and a member of the Greggton First Methodist Church. Mrs. Stanley enjoyed quilting, sewing, gardening and caring for her grandkids. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. Mrs. Stanley was preceded in death by her husband, Thurman J. Stanley; and her daughter, Bonnie Cooper. Mrs. Stanley is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Lawan and James Riley of Longview; her son, Robert Stanley and Edna Gonzalez of the Tyler area; grandchildren, David Modisette, Randy and Carol Modisette, Rusty Modisette, Chris and JoEllen Modisette, Stephen and Melissa Stanley, Veronica Cooper and Rodney Cooper; and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. The family requests memorial contributions be made to Hospice of East Texas, 4111 University Blvd., Tyler, TX 75701.
